merletto is a high quality but relaxed eating place for Honiton and the surrounding area. We provide a modern imaginative Mediterranean based cuisine in a light, airy and relaxed atmosphere, where the emphasis is on both our customers and our staff having an enjoyable and rewarding time but not at the expense of a high level of quality and service.

from Tuesday to Saturday we are open for morning coffee, lunchtime light meals and full evening dinners, as well as drinking at our fully licensed bar, Merletto intends to provide something for just about everyone. The menus are themed on Mediterranean cuisine but incorporating many other modern dishes, and will be produced wherever possible from fresh local produce. We have an extensive but ‘understandable’ wine list and a large range of bottled beers, spirits, non-alcoholic and other beverages. A daily specials board for both meals and excellent wines forms a major part of our fare on a regularly changing basis. Vegetarian meals are available in abundance, and we try to avoid GM and unethically produced ingredients wherever possible, Merletto has a strict no smoking policy in force at all times indoors.

as Honiton continues to grow at a rapid rate, we are available to cater for small groups as well as large parties, and hope that the restaurant becomes a popular meeting and eating place for the shoppers and business people of Honiton at lunchtimes, while becoming a regular dining out location in the evening for formal and informal meals, family groups and special functions. During the summer months we will open the gardens to the rear for dining and drinking, and hope to hold occasional theme or musical evenings if we feel there is a demand.

As we open at 10.30 in the morning, why not drop in for a refreshing cappachino with you friends and pass away a few idle hours chatting in our relaxed and informal setting, or better still, outside on the sun drenched terrace when the sun bothers to come out and sun drench it!

from the moment customers enter Merletto they can expect to be met with warmth and hospitality from our restaurant staff, to be treated with courtesy and receive prompt service and attention throughout their meal. Staff are encouraged to take part in all areas of the restaurant and kitchen duties, and will form a good working relationship with other staff members and to extend and convey the knowledge thus gained to the customers.
